Indoor And Outdoor LED Christmas Lightings – Several Fundamental Rules Will Help Out Very Much
Indoor And Outdoor LED Christmas Lightings – Several Fundamental Rules Will Help Out Very Much
Outside LED Christmas lights are the cherries on a cake when it comes to setting the scene for the festive season. Twinkling lights in the snow on a clear, dark night can make your house appear inviting and create an amazing welcome for all your holiday friends and visitors.
It is easy to get wrapped up in the excitement of the season though, and, like many other homeowners, attempt to install LED Christmas lights and decorations without much thought to safety. But, each year there’re a significant number of fires in the home as a result of faulty lights or their inappropriate use. Thus it’s critical to know what you’re doing when placing your lights up, otherwise the holiday season could be one you remember for all the wrong reasons. Following several fundamental rules will help:
There’re two types of decorative lighting options: indoor and outdoor LED Christmas lights. Rule number one is to always use the appropriate lights for a specific environment and never be tempted to take shortcuts. While you may think that the lights you have just bought would look nice hanging in your dining room, specially when the family are seated for Christmas dinner, do not use them if they’re labeled “For external use only.”
Before putting your lights up, ensure that all leads are free from damage. This is especially vital if your lights are old and have been used many times over. Replace any faulty bulbs with the same types of bulbs and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Keep lights out of the reach of young children, and always turn your Christmas tree lights off before going to bed. Make sure that all outside LED Christmas lights are weatherproof and use extra low voltage equipment, especially if hanging lights on fences and roofs. If your lights are gonna be installed near any gutters, ensure that they are cleared of leaves.
Secure all lighting devices to avoid damage in strong winds, and turn off your external lighting in stormy or rainy weather conditions. Keep electrical leads clear of walkways and driveways and avoid passing leads via windows and doors.
If you plan on having a sophisticated lighting display whether it be using indoor or outdoor LED Christmas lights, or are responsible for arranging the festive lighting for a number of buildings, it’s best to call in the experts.
Not only will an expert electrical contractor set up your whole lighting system for you, but he or she will also be able to recommend you on what lighting display will work greatest given your present electrical wiring system. An expert electrical contractor will also maintain your lighting display all over the season, and dismantle it when the festivities are over. All you have to do then is sit back with the rest of the family and enjoy the view – with the peace of mind that the only disasters you will have to contend with during the holidays will be the regular family kind!
Take the time this year to plan and perform a safe and happy holiday for your family, friends and neighbors by being diligent with your indoor and outdoor LED Christmas lights. Cheers to you and your family!

– First do some research on the internet and magazine for ideas and patterns of lights that you find to your likening. Print out the images and/or tear out of the magazine. Now really look at each and get a general idea of a pattern, or specific array you would like to see outside of your home using outdoor LED Christmas lights. And remember LED Christmas lights come in every shape, colour and style you can imagine.
– Take a good look at your house from the sidewalk or street. Get an idea and inspiration on what you could do to your house, going on any ideas you already may have, or would want to see.
– Consider your budget you have, the more lights you have the more your electricity bill will go up. Outdoor LED Christmas lights use a lot less electricity then standard lights, but will still use power (obviously).
– Have a shed or garage not connected to the house? Good idea to outline it with lights as well.
– Try not to just light the roof line; try lighting the windows, any steps, railings, and maybe some hedges or small trees and any architectural features you may have in your yard.
– Use scalloped net lights running along a porch railing.
– Hang icicle lights inside any windows you have.
– Use stakes to run chaser lights on the sides of your driveway or the walkway leading to your front door.
– The roof should be the main focus and foundation of your light display. You should do that first and then decide how you want to go from there and how more lights you want to use.
– For an amazing serene look, especially on an older house or country type home, use white lights.
Another huge advantage of LED Christmas lighting is the capability to safely hook them up together end to end. Other lights can be very dangerous. With LED lights you can hook up to 40 sets together. This gives you a lot more control of your lighting options.
So with outdoor LED Christmas lights you will not only be able to conserve energy, but have much more variety, creativity and options in decorating compared to tradition outdoor Christmas lighting.

These Led DISPLAY Lights are awesome. They give off the same light for 2 watts a stringer. For those of you not versed in the watt conversion, that is 50 stringers, (2500 bulbs) = 1 standard light bulb.
